The Jackson Veterinary
Clinic has been computerised since
February 1993. We have invested heavily in equipment
over recent years to provide you with a better service.
This means that we can obtain a faster diagnosis for
your pet and treatment can therefore be started much
sooner.

|
Blood test results are available
within minutes, instead of a few days. You don't have
to travel long distances to see a referral vet, for example,
to have an ultrasound scan performed on your pet (often
taking the whole day). The facilities make our job more
satisfying because we feel that our patients are better
cared for.

|
Of course, "hardware" is
not the only investment we make. We spend more than £1250
every year on continuing professional development (CPD).
Although this is not yet a legal requirement for vets
(or doctors!), we think it is very important to keep
up to date with new techniques and to refresh existing
ones. Recent course attended by Mr Jackson
include: radiology and ultrasonography of
the abdomen; cardiology; recent treatment developments
in gastric dilation/volvulus and practice management courses. Our lay staff
and nurses are also encouraged to attend meetings and
courses.
