Theodore
	Theodore is three foot tall sitting down. We don't know how tall he is standing up because he's never actually stood up. He can't. He's too full. He arrived in 1996 and has stayed ever since, mainly in the restaurant . Theodore has developed a rather peculiarly shaped head as a result of friendly guests patting him in a fond but vigorous fashion.

	Gregory
	Gregory is named after our Proprietor and although smaller than Theodore, is quite a force to be reckoned with should you try to take his honey sandwiches and milk away. He doesn't really eat honey sandwiches or drink milk, of course, he's just an inanimate teddy bear. No, he prefers a nice salmon steak and a glass of Chardonnay.

	Wooden Teds
	The Wooden Teds were given to us by some particularly kind and generous guests. They perform very useful tasks such as keeping the doors open and not letting books fall off shelves. You realise we're talking about the Wooden Teds here, not the guests. It's not a bad idea though....

	Peter Porter
	Peter arrived in 2001 and, when we found out his surname was Porter, we promptly appointed him as our very first porter. He's always a welcoming sight for our arrivals and, late at night, is the soul of discretion. That's all whimsical nonsense of course. His real name was Colin Crocodilecatcher but we didn't need one of those.

	Bellboy Billy
	Billy is the nephew of Peter Porter and is learning the art of hotelkeeping from the bottom up. He annoys all the other bears by disappearing on the pretext that he's running an errand. A likely story! Have you ever seen an actual teddy bear actually get up and actually run? You have? And you say that was before you enjoyed one of our gin and tonics? By the way, you can buy a Bellboy Billy lookalike for a modest sum from reception.

	Tim
	Tim was lovingly created by Gill and Scott Harris. There was an unexpected and tearful reunion recently when they came to stay. Tim openly admits to being allergic to mornings, but this is probably because he can be a bit of a party animal in the wee hours.If you hear a ceramic rendition of 'I did it my way' during the night, it's just Tim going a bit potty.

	Chef Albear
	Chef Albear is normally found behind the scenes but when time permits he likes to move around the Drawing Room receiving 'feed back'. There was talk of him having his own TV series called The Bare Chef but he refused to take his clothes off on television for money. He'll do it anywhere for a couple of large brandies, but not for money. We like a bear with ethics, don't you?

	Garden Ted
	In clement weather, take a look around our secluded garden. You'll soon find Garden Ted in amongst the flowers. Some time ago he had the simple idea that if he stayed really still, people would leave him alone. They have done and now he's turned to stone

	Lazy Larry
	Lazy Larry can be found lolling around just watching the world go by. He used to be part of the Wooden Ted Set but one day strayed to the front hall and tried to break into the restaurant where he feels he belongs. To avoid being sent back, he nonchalantly reads the menu over and over again. He has his good side, but we've shown you his back side as well because that's the one you're most likely to see.
